Intiz'Journal Best Skin Care 2OI8

First of all, I would like to say that this journal is going to be quite long. It's actually the first time I want to mention about my best skin care products which really change my facial skin life and I would like to share it here. I have combination,sensitive/acne-prone skin, and I was struggled with acne for a long time and still having it but my acne is less ...how can I say? "hideous"? than before.

Get thing healthier, clearer facial skin is my 2018 beauty resolution. I have tried many products, and beauty routines. Surprisingly, with all that process,  I'm quite happy with my skin now. So, I'd like to share those products which will be forever on my shopping list. Well, let's get started.

BEST FACIAL CLEANSER :: CHANEL LA MOUSSE

I first use this Chanel cleanser (by that time it was Chanel Mousse Douceur) to clean my foundation brush. I actually plan for the cleaning experiment because Chanel price tag is quite expensive compare with those facial cleansing products in the market. Besides, the price goes up every year! After I experienced my first experiment and I have tried it with my face. It's definitely my forever cleanser. It totally clean the skin, gives the refresh feeling, and doesn't make my face feel dry or tight at all.

BEST CLEANSING OIL :: SHU UEMURA //HADALABO

I was hesitate to try any kind of oil to my face because I was afraid that it would clog the pores and cause acne later, but I decide to give it a try. Using cleaning oil as make up remover is much quicker and cleaner than my old routine with the micellar water. Besides, I don't like the feeling when rubbing cotton pads with my face again and again (I'm early 30s, and I love to be avoid from wrinkles as much as possible, though),so this is the right decision I've made. Shu Uemura Utime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil is the best.It cleans all the make up,and doesn't dry out or leave the oily barrier on the face. Then, I found another affordable one from the Japan which really does a good job at removing make up, it's Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil

BEST TONER :: THAYER'S WITCH HAZEL ALCOHOL-FREE TONER (LAVENDER)

For my all time favorite toner before this one, it was Kiehl's Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner. I changed my toner several times from drugstore to counter brands, but I couldn't find the good one. I experienced acne after using Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Toner. Finally, I got my hands on Thayers at the All About You store in Bangkok. (You know, I can't find one when I go to the US, but I found it at home. How funny is that?)The toner is light and I love the refreshing and calm scent of lavender. It soothes the skin and ready for the next skin care steps.

BEST FACIAL ESSENCE :: SK-II FACIAL TREATMENT ESSENCE
There's no double about this SK-II essences. It is my must have skin care product. So many people love it ,but just its weird fermented scent will give a little unpleasant feeling, but I can take. I love the moisturizing and smooth feeling in my skin after it. Moisturizing is the best thing if you want to have a healthy youthful skin, trust me.

BEST PRE-SERUM :: SULWHASOO FIRST CARE ACTIVATING SERUM-EX
Do you need a pre-serum in your skincare routine? Well, I'm not the beauty expert and related on my experience, I recommend you to have one. I tried the popular "Korean skin care routine" which would take me forever before going to bed. Using pre-serum,to me it was extra moisturizing step to keep your skin moist which is really important for me because I work in the aircraft almost everyday. If I don't look after myself, my face is going to be dry like elephant skin and I won't let that happen to me. I've been using this Sulwhasoo pre-serum for two bottles, already and still satisfy with the healthy glowing skin I have, and the softness is the extra.Of course, I'll buy it again.

BEST MOISTURIZER :: CLARINS // DRUNK ELEPHANT
One flight, there was two woman passengers pressed the call bell on the flight asking me to write down my skin care products in the serviette for them. They said "How do you get that smooth and glow"? I would tell you here that I use the Clarins Multi-Active Day cream-gel (also the cream formular one if I work on the 7+ hours flight ). Recently, Clarins discontinue the cream-gel formular at the same time I was about to switch the moisturizer (I always switch moisturizer every nine months)so I purchased the Drunk Elephant. I'm using the Protini Polypeptide Cream for daytime, and the Lala Retro Whipped Cream. They are my skin life saver. Besides, the packaging of the brand is so cute and I can't resist that, though.

BEST EYE CREAM :: ESTEE LAUDER Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix
I don't have many of favorite eye care products that because none of them help with my major eye concern, dark circle. I purchased this without finding the information about it (unlike most of the time I want to buy one counter brand product.),the applicator which look like a wand looks interesting to me.(Yeah! Just that wand!). Well, as the result it works so well especially for dark circle and I was impressed. So, I use it as my day and night. I recommend to us the applicator to massage under your under eye area when using as the PM routine.

BEST BRIGHTENING PRODUCTS :: SK-II // DRUNK ELEPHANT

Brightening in my case is not about that 'super white' skin that somehow one of the beauty popular trend in Asia, but for me it's about getting glowing and have acne spots as less as possible. I stopped having laser treatment for three years, already. Personally, having laser is the quick-fix,but to me it makes my skin even more sensitive. So, during those three years the SK-II GenOptics Aura Essence Serum is my best brightening treatment which give me the glow radiant skin.

Another brightening step of my routine is exfoliating. I do this twice a month, or once I feel like there is some weird barrier on my facial skin. My favorite products are St.Ives Acne Control Apricot Scrub. I using this facial scrub for ages and still loving it. Currently, I'm using the energizing coconut & coffee one which I love it,too.

The last favorite brightening product is the Drunk Elephant T.L.C.Sukari Baby Facial. Another skin life saver one even though it stings me a little bit for the a couple minutes after use.I love its brightening result which give me when I wake up with healthier glow on my skin. I actually use this product twice a week, before bedtime, and avoid any sunlight or LED light after use.

BEST FACE OIL :: HERBIVORE//DRUNK ELEPHANT//KORA ORGANICS

I start using face oil, about last year sometime during winter. We all know, winter is the driest skin season that's why I start adding facial oil into my skin care routine. I was hesitate using it,same feeling like I wanted to start using cleansing oil.I thought to myself, the cleansing oil doesn't make any pimple,so this should be fine. Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Oil  is the first face oil that I buy and I love it. It's not greasy as I thought. It gives the best moisture to my skin. I only use one big drop and mix it with my Lala Retro Whipped Cream before bedtime. My next best face oil is Herbivore Lapis Facial Oil , I don't know how to explain how great is this product, all  I want to say that if you have combination, sensitive/ance-prone skin like me.This oil is the perfect match with the complexion. I use it (2-3 small drops) with my day and night moisturizer. I also love Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil, currently I only use its sample size but I'm going to purchase the big size one.It really give me the moist skin without clogging my pores. I actually use this oil alone about two drops, massage in my hand and pad on my face, or sometime one drop and slightly pad on top of my moisturizer.

I think this is the longest journal that I've ever blogged here. I'm so happy to share some of my beauty experience which I hope it would help you at some point. Lastly, I wanna say that having acne is not the end of the world. Don't be stress about it. The more you stress, the more difficult to get rid of it. You don't have to trust every products that I mentioned here. Try it yourself, get a sample then decide that you'd like to buy it or not. By the way, I didn't mention some products in the photo because I feel like I should try it more before decide that it's the best or not. I'm sorry about that.

Hopefully, I have some more beauty experience to journal next time. In the mean time, stay gorgeous and have a great holiday. xx

**P.S. The products in this journal are not sponsored.

Photoshoot with Sammy Kleinn

Last week in Bangkok, I have a great opportunity to meet Sammy Kleinn, who was photoshooting my beloved "blogger in crime", Gail for his collection which will be launch soon. It has been a long time for me to be photoshoot by a professional photoghapher since the last time I've been taken by Yvan Rodic, and James Bent. To be honest, I was a little bit excited because I didn't photoshoot quite a while. The photos turned out amazing.

That sweet silhouette dress

Dress is always my go-to piece in the closet because it saves time the most when it comes to dress up in a hurry especially for those rush days on my schedule. Today wearing the dress alone is a little boring to me. I bought this leopard print dress awhile ago in Brisbane,Australia . I know exactly those bell shaped sleeves, and the silhouette of this dress gonna make me look so sweet. Thank you goodness that the print will save me from the dolly look 'cuz I'm way tooooooo far from the word 'dolly'!

Anyway, wearing the dress alone is pretty cute, but I ain't that casual today. So, I layered this dress with my beloved graphic vintage skirt, and accessorized with leopard prints shoes and glasses. Finally, I touched up with black and bold of my belt and bag. Voila! I'm so happy to turn this $25 dress into my look in the way I love and of course, head to toe leopard. ;)

2018Resolutions

"Just do it" is my new mantra for the 2018. Well, not about to buy a pair of Nike for my dance outfit but I try to use this to drive me forward, don't be hesitate or over-thinking.

This year,instead of the long To-Do list, I'm trying to focus more on what I really really want to do. Less is more sometimes once it comes to resolutions,I guess. So, here are my top five (that difficult to make them this short);
MANAGE TIME//BETTER

For the past six year,my 24/7 is absolutely not normal. Managing  time to balance my life everyday is the toughest part for me and I'm still working on it every single day.The more I've grow, the more I  learn how valuable of time is. Last week, I read an article somewhere which quote "Your time is valuable. It's a limited, finite resource that once used, can never be reclaimed".-Lifehack.org. I totally agree with that. Personally,I always keep myself busy doing what I love to do and I put hashtag for it as #whatbehindintizjournal. But sometime, I'm busy doing nothing which mean "I have to sleep". Should I grateful my career to make my life more challenging? This year, I'm trying to make my time more productive and focus on my plans also spend great time with my beloved family, friends, and of course my followers.

LEARNING SOMETHING NEW

Taking fashion design classes is the first thing I'd like to learn (again, again, and again). I didn't practice enough since I finished my fashion design programs. Technically, I know how to design and make clothes but practically it still not good enough for me.Wish me luck to have time to apply those short courses.

Besides the fashion courses, "ciao!" I recently start learning Italian and I would say it's not easy as 'pizza-pie'. What inspired me for this? Last year, I experienced some Italian culture, and I totally in love with it. There's no purpose for learning the language, though.I just want to have some new language skill and keep in touch with my lovely Italian friends.A part of learning process, watching Stefano Gabbana's  said in his lovely and  funny Insta-video is one of it. Nowadays, we know we could learn to do something easier without spending that much money for the language school (but internet service). It's good for exercising your brain.Trust me, pick one you'd like to learn and do it. DM me, if you like to practice some Thai :)

TAKING CARE OF MY HEALTH

"I rarely go to gym,and I hate going to a hospital" I have to remove this mindset out of my head. It's not about being part of the healthy trend which is most popular or I can wear my gym shoes with dress (c'mon please stop this look..never ever gonna try!) I always thought to myself  "I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't have things to be stress about and I should be fine". I realized that was not so true. I've been to hospital many times last year. I should take care of myself more. One thing I gonna do for sure, brush up my dancing skill.

MORE TRAVEL
We all know how amazing to take holiday-traveling to where we love to explore discover the culture, food, people and of course post some Instagram photos before the trip comes to the end. This year,I'm planning between New York (during NYFW Spring 2019) or Italy which so far still making a decision. Travel is great, so don't forget to relax yourself. We'don't know what is waiting for us somewhere in the future, right?

CONTINUE PURSUING MY GOALS

Thinking without doing is nothing, but over-thinking and over-doing incorrectly is still nothing! I experienced both. Having my own label is not that easy. I faced many failures about building the brand last year. To be honest, I kinda gave up and self-doubt a little bit. I also have an idea to open the Instagram shop selling clothes. Then, I realized that it's not my plan A. I should refocus, and make it happen again. "Never give up on dream "  I  believe that I can make it. There's no time to waste. ฺ

*

Lastly for those who didn't know how to start your resolutions this year, or still doubt what you'd like to do with yourself. I always use the old-fashioned way, the pen and paper (so far, there are  clips, glittered masking tapes, stickers, etc)I write my planner everyday. My opinion, listing what you'd plan to do for the day, month, or year could help you stay organize. At least you give yourself an idea what you gonna do without wasting your time around. Again you all, Time is really important but taking time for vacation is the way of self-rewarding.

I hope you have a great shine bright 2018. It's a good time to start your things, we gonna have the best year together. Be positve and never give up //xo.
